These are really neat photos and I must admit that I still enjoy visiting the lighthouse at Hunting Island. It has an amazing story behind the number of required moves in order to save it.
I have been to the Hatteras and Ocracoke lighthouses. I have actually climbed the Currituck lighthouse. First and last time doing that. You have to be in shape to climb those things. LOL
I have also been to the Hatteras and Ocracoke lighthouses. I also climbed the Currituck lighthouse as did Sherita. I shall never do that again. My kids wanted to go up so badly. Things we do for our children.
Beautiful images, my husband and I visited the Outer Banks and toured many of these lighthouses before we were married. My daughter has never been, but loves lighthouses and has an entire shelved shrine to them (figurines and paintings) in our sitting room. She always asked when she is actually going to see a real one. I think this summer we might forego the commercial hype of Myrtle Beach for the simplicity of quieter beaches and much nicer scenery in the Outer Banks.
I love your blog idea. Wouldn't it be great to travel to wonderful places, photograph lighthouses, and put them all in a book! I would buy it for my coffee table!
