I began my love of photography after I was married thirty years ago.  I used to use my husband's camera at first until he gave me my own camera.  All of my pics used to be taken with film.  I can remember when I got my first digital camera in 2004. It used the 3.25 hard disks. Four years ago I acquired a Fuji film digital camera that had better pixels and a 4GB memory card.  For this Christmas, my husband got me a Nikon with a telescoping lens. I can't wait to go on our next vacation so that I can get some new landscape photos.  The photos below are taken in Jamaica, West Virgina, North Carolina, Florida, and South Carolina with my Fuji camera.  Most of these photos grace the walls of my home in Bluffton, SC.

    1. No formal training. I just enjoy taking photographs! It is also so much cheaper to enlarge, mat and frame my own work. I would love to do this as a profession, but do not feel that I have enough talent.

  2. Your images are amazing!! Being born and raised in WV, I truly miss the sights and scenery of my home state. You have truly taken me back in pictures. I remember so many family vacations with my grandparents frequenting Babcock, Blackwater Falls, and Seneca. They are beautiful places that you have truly captured the essence of with your photography!!

  3. Well those cameras are certainly not wasted on YOU! These are gorgeous photos. My favorite is "Sunrise Edisto Beach, SC". I just love the bright sun framed by the drift wood!

  5. Your photos look like they should belong in some vacation magazine or a brochure for a tourist area. You have a real talent.

  6. WOW!! These pictures sure do capture the wealth of nature that surrounds us. You've done a great job of presenting them in this collage. I love the parallel ones that show the contrasts of the falls. One of my fond memories is of our time spent in NC while living on Brown Mountain Beach Rd with breathtaking views of the gorge with sheer overlooks in so many locations. I can only hold those memories in my head.
